Building Bankable Energy & Carbon Projects Across Nature-Based and Technology Sectors

I am Dr Noraini Ruslan, a Carbon Developer and Renewable Energy & Biomass Project Consultant specialising in nature-based and technology-based climate solutions. With a PhD in Ecology and Environment, I work at the intersection of science, engineering, and sustainability to transform waste, land resources, and biomass into profitable energy and carbon projects.
My expertise includes waste-to-energy systems, biochar carbon removal (CDR), biodiesel and ISCC-aligned supply chains, sludge and scum oil valorisation, graphene-from-biomass innovation, and high-value carbon project development. I help organisations convert oil palm waste, agricultural residues, and industrial by-products into energy, carbon credits, and market-ready products.
As Head of the Environmental Management & Conservation Research Unit (eNCORe) at UTHM, I lead research in carbon emissions, soil health, water quality, biodiversity, and land-use sustainability. I combine this scientific foundation with hands-on consulting experience to design bankable, investment-ready projects for companies seeking carbon reduction pathways and renewable energy solutions.
My work supports companies, technology providers, and investors in building viable sustainability portfolios by bridging technical viability with commercial opportunities. I focus on creating solutions that are not only environmentally effective, but also economically strategic.

Our team specializes in transforming palm oil mill effluent (POME) into valuable resources. We purchase POME scum for conversion into profitable products and process effluent and sludge into digestate for agricultural use. Our solutions not only minimize environmental impacts but also create revenue opportunities for industries, driving both sustainability and profitability.

We help businesses and organizations transform their carbon reduction efforts into real financial value through expert carbon credit assessment and trading strategies. Our services combine both nature-based solutions (NbS) and technology-driven innovations to identify, quantify, and verify carbon assets.

We offer customized Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for environmental assessment—designed to collect, transmit, and analyze real-time data across ecosystems, plantations, and industrial sites. Our IoT systems bring precision, speed, and automation to environmental monitoring, enabling smarter decision-making for sustainability and compliance.

We help industries enhance their sustainability performance through collaborative research, data-driven analysis, and high-visibility publications. Our support includes co-developing projects, boosting research visibility, and preparing competitive proposals for sustainability grants—driving innovation, credibility, and growth.

We assist industries in leveraging single and double tax deduction opportunities by strategically aligning their initiatives with university-led research projects and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Our advisory ensures that companies not only fulfill their tax planning goals but also contribute meaningfully to innovation, environmental sustainability, and community development.
